Episode #7: Ed Harrison

Roger and Ed discuss the question on everyone's mind - Will there be a long shallow recession?

Ed Harrison, Bloomberg's head of Rates and FX in the Americas, expects a slow-motion recession in the US.

Different pockets of the economy have already been in a recession, but there’s not been an economy-wide event.

Ed thinks that the ultimate source of the slowdown could be tighter lending standards that slowly starve the economy of credit. This will probably play out at different speeds across the country, creating a shallow and drawn-out recession.

Join Ed and me, old pals from back in the day, as we explore this and other scenarios we're keen to see play out in the back half of this year.

Lastly, if you want to get a deeper look at the work we're (myself included) producing here at Lykeion, make sure to check out our Research tier. It's a broader, more framework-driven approach to how we view the world through the converging lenses of macro, geopolitics, and investing at large.
